Tools And Apps For Group Management And Collaboration:

As I was saying, order can be one of the most important factors to take into account when working online, either ordering the pending tasks or organizing the work team as such. Ensuring that there is fluidity and ease of work is essential for people to perform their tasks properly.

Monday

This tool works like a cloud operating system, allowing you to organize your team, any way you want. As all organizations and people need different working methodologies, Monday makes it possible! You can even integrate your favorite applications, like Slack (which we’ll be talking about later), so that all the tasks can be done through the platform and, therefore, you can increase your productivity.

As Monday is a very complete App, it offers several paid plans, which allow you to adjust to exactly what you need. To know their rates, you can click here.

Trello

This may not be one of the most complete tools on the web, but it’s one of the easiest to use and was one of the first Kanban tools. Trello lets you organize teams and people, projects and activities; and everything you want. It’s basically a dashboard that helps you keep track of pending tasks, those that are in process, or those that have been completed. The whole team can access this dashboard, and they can leave comments at the same time.

It also has a web version and a mobile application, so you can work on it from your computer, or from your phone, without a problem. If you want to know more about their plans and rates, you can click here.

Asana

“The easiest way to manage team tasks and projects!” that’s how they are presented on their website, and they’re right. This platform helps you to meet objectives, plan processes and arrange your time so that tasks are delivered on time.

Now, the most important and innovative thing about this tool is that it allows you to automate processes that can save you time and help you be more productive.

Asana has several plans available, which have different costs, and which depend on the needs of each organization or team. To consult a little more about prices you can click here.

Notion

One of the most striking things about this platform is that it not only allows you to organize teams and people (like the tools above) but it also allows you to store documents, plan sales strategies, categorize products, and even organize design strategies for tasks that are more graphic.

This tool, of course, also has a free version and paid plans that can unlock more work possibilities. If you want to know about Notion’s prices, you can click here.

Wrike

Do you want to simplify planning and give your team more visibility? Then this tool is for you, because it facilitates collaboration and speeds up the workflow, both for large organizations and for teams of few people.

This tool can be used on the web, as well as on tablets or cell phones, and is excellent because it allows to visualize all the projects, in real time and simultaneously, so it can be a good way to organize and prioritize pending tasks.

If you want to know more about Wrike’s plans and prices, you can click here.

Tools And Apps To Send Large Files:

One of the most important things, when working online, is being able to share files with the rest of the team members. Normally, mailing works perfectly well but, for files that are really heavy, it can be challenging.

There are several platforms that allow you to compress and send files, easily and for free, so you don’t have to worry about that anymore.

WeTransfer

This is one of the most recognized tools, worldwide, because it’s free and you don’t need to create an account to get started. All you have to do is enter the recipient’s email, upload the file and click send. The recipient will receive an email with a download link.

In fact, there are a couple of different applications, which can help boost your creativity, and which are related to WeTransfer. You can learn more about them by clicking here.

DropSend

This tool works pretty much the same way as the previous one, but with the difference that it’s not completely free – you can send large files for free! But with a monthly limit of only 5 emails that don’t exceed a total of 4 GB per file.

If you want to know a little more about the monthly fees you can pay at DropSend, click here.

Tools And Apps To Store Documents In The Cloud:

This is really important! Not only for ease of work, but also for security. Has it ever happened to you that your computer suddenly stops working, and you lose your unsaved work? That’s a thing of the past because cloud file storage solves this, and much more.

You don’t have to worry about the available storage space on your computer anymore, nor about losing files, because these tools have your back.

OneDrive

The best platform for working in the cloud! Not only does it allow you to store your documents or photos, but it also allows you to work online without having to download the files. On OneDrive, you can also share files with other users and make backups to protect them.

Here, you can purchase 5 GB of free storage and their paid plans allow you to not only expand the capacity but also use Microsoft tools virtually. If you want to know more, you can check it out here.

Dropbox

Organizing files in the cloud isn’t the only good thing about Dropbox because it also helps you prioritize and organize documents, in order of importance, so that you can be more productive when working. It also allows your team to sync, so that everyone has access to the same files and documents.

This tool can be used personally, or as a work facilitator for large teams of people or organizations. To this end, it offers a series of paid plans to optimize business. You can learn more about their rates here.

Google Drive

Google Drive is part of Google’s “G Suite”, which is where all the tools available for work are. In Drive, you can store up to 15 GB for free but you can buy more space, if needed. The best part? You can share files with other people and the files can be modified directly in the cloud, without the need to download.

If you want to know more about the prices to acquire more storage, you can enter here.

Mega

If it’s security you’re looking for, Mega is the place for you. The files and message chats sent through the platform are encrypted, so it’s more reliable than it seems. In fact, it’s one of the cheapest paid platforms on the market – you get 50 GB of storage for free!

If you want to know a little more about their rates, click here.

Tools And Apps To Facilitate Communication:

We could have selected communication as a priority on the list, because it’s just as important to the order in which the team works and to the storage of files. Without good communication, your team just can’t work properly! So here are some of the many tools and apps available for making video calls or online conferences.

Slack

Slack is one of the most popular tools that facilitate team communication. It allows you to organize individual and group conversations and it also allows you to make voice and video calls. But the best thing about Slack is that it has plug-ins that allow it to integrate with almost any other piece of software available.

To learn about their plans and rates, you can check it out here.

Hangouts and Google Meet

Hangouts is Google’s tool for messaging and video calling! It’s super easy to use, and all you need is your email. It’s also completely free!

Now, if you require a tool that’s for either business or enterprise, I present to you Google Meet, which was recently made available free of charge.

Skype

It’ s world-renowned! And, surely, you’ve heard about it. Here, you need to create an account with Microsoft but it’s very easy to use. It also has a couple of tools that are useful when making important calls or conferences. For example, it allows you to blur the background of the call. Have you seen any other tool with this feature?

If you want to find out more about the benefits of using Skype, you can check it out here.

ClickMeeting

It allows webinars and video conferences! It’s a tool that allows you to work, give courses, make presentations and contact your clients. And not only that! It lets you do big events, virtually.

Of course, it has free plans and other paid plans, so if you want to know more about the prices of the tool, you can check them out here.

In addition to these platforms, we could talk a bit about Zoom, which has become very popular lately. We didn’t want to include it in our list, because we’ve seen bad ratings from users, with comments even linked to the leakage of private data. However, you can review it because it can be used for simple tasks in your day-to-day life.

Other Tools And Apps For Work:

Now you have a list of tools and Apps that work perfectly and are quite useful when working online! But, as the basics aren’t enough, we are going to recommend the following tools that can help you do simple tasks, in your day to day.

  • MindMeister: It allows you to create mind maps online! Works great for organizing ideas and translating them into an explanatory chart.
  • Prezi: It’s a software that can be used to make presentations in the cloud. Pretend it’s like PowerPoint, only better and friendlier.
  • Google keep: Personally, this is my favorite for to-do lists. It’s really very simple, but it’s very nice, friendly and pretty looking. Also, it links to Google, so if I lose my cell phone, I don’t lose the information.
  • Todoist: Do you like to make to-do lists and organize your tasks into small notes? Todoist allows you to do so because it is completely comprehensive. It has both a computer and a mobile version so you can manage your notes better (with this you can forget about pen and paper, but not completely).
  • Toggl: Not all jobs require tracking time, but when it’s needed, it’s important to have a tool that works better than a stopwatch. With this App you can put the Pomodoro technique into practice, which consists of working for small periods of time, 25 minutes and 5 minutes of rest. It works very well to improve concentration!
  • Microsoft To Do: Another great tool for making to-do lists! Remember that order is the most important thing when working online, so we recommend another option for you to choose from.
  • Instapaper: Are you worried about your WiFi or network connection? No problem. Instapaper allows you to upload files to the cloud, to be read later offline. Cool, right?
  • Canva: Last but not least, we present Canva. It’s perfect for designing small graphic pieces that don’t require too much design skills, because it has pre-formatted templates that you can edit to your liking. Are you growing your social network accounts and don’t know what to publish? Here you’ll find a brainstorm that’ll help you achieve it.

The Success Of Online Work Doesn’t Depend On Tools!

Heads up! Read carefully, because this is the most important part.

The digital tools and apps presented above can save your life, only if you put your mind to it. Here, we didn’t provide you with magical platforms that are going to do the job for you, but they’ll help you optimize your time and resources to reach higher levels of productivity.

However, the success of an online job depends entirely on the willingness of the worker. That’s why our best advice is to really work on what you’re passionate about, in whatever way you want to do it. This way, work will not be an everyday “nightmare”, but a “blessing” that will make you happy and allow you to achieve the success you deserve.
